Aneto, sometimes named “Nethou” In France. It is the third highest mountain in Spain, and is the highest mountain in the Pyrenees and one of the most known peaks of Aragon. The height of the mountain is 3,404 m (11.168 ft). Aneto is located in the Posets-Maladeta National Park, in the town of Benasque, Huesca province, autonomous community of Aragon, in Spain.
On the summit there are many objects like : the big metallic cross of CEC, Our Lady of Pillar, San Marcial Chapel, the survey point, and some memorial plaques. It consists of Paleozoic terrain of a granitic nature and Mesozoic materials. In the Pyrenees, on the northern side, it holds the largest Glacier. It is shrinking rapidly due to increase in summer temperature and and decreasing winter precipitation. Waters from fusion coming from the glacier are going to stop to the Garona river by the karstic drain of forau de Aigualluts , and also they contribute partly to the Ésera river.
When to Climb
The Aneto can be explored at any time of the year, but the most popular months to make a summit attempt are June and July when the weather is better and snow still covers crevices in the mountain side, making the way up safer. At upper part, the weather is very thought and there is still not any precise data about it. In Winter and Spring there could be fog, blizzard, snow, and ice are common factors.
Flora and Fauna
The uniqueness of the massif and its appeal has lead to the virtual abandonment of farming activities, replaced by tourism. Therefore, the flora of the environment has been wonderfully conserved, especially on the hillside and the massifs, where the forests remain in their primary state. Among the flora riches, there are 56 endemic plants and 5 high altitude species like Edelweiss, Papaver Alpinum, Saxifraga bryoides, and Silene acaulis.
In the fauna, otters, mountain goats, squirrels, chamoises (known as sarrios in the area), marmots and many other species of bearded vultures, Tengmalm owls, capercaillies, eagles, newts, and many more.

- El Raval : It is a neighbourhood in the Ciutat Vella, district of Barcelona, Spain and near to Aneto Mountains. The part of the area which is closest to the port was informally known as Barri Xinès or Chinatown. This are historically infamous for its nightlife and cabarets.
- Ibón de Cregüeña : It is the third largest lake in the Pyrenees mountains. It is a very beautiful mountaineer path for a certain physical form is required since both the slope and the total time is high. It is located at the height of 2,630 metres.
- Agora : It is a central spot in ancient Greek city-states. Agora means “Gatehering place or Assembly place”. It was the centre of athletic, artistic, spiritual, and political life of the city. The Agora also served as the marketplace where merchants kept their stalls or shops to sell their goods amid colonnades. The Ancient Agora of Athens is the best known example of Agoras.
